What is the meaning of the love story of an elf lady and a man we witnessed? Lúthien and Beren have understood and even though they left this world forever, and many elves and men mourn them, they gave us a legacy about the true meaning of immortality: Our son will bear on our legacy and so will children of his children. This song could be from a moment when Lúthien and Beren are leaving Tol Galen or from a moment just before their death or even it’s not Beren and Lúthien at all who sings this song at the forefront. It could be their children's children... maybe you.
Elsa, (translation: Tani)
Only mere moments we live
before Death reveals it’s face,
Only a memory remains with you forever
for ever namárië, namárië.
